Cristian Romero has been named the Europa League Player of the Season after Tottenham's cup final triumph against Manchester United.

Following Tottenham's 1-0 win over United on Wednesday, Spurs centre-back Romero has been named as the tournament's best player by the UEFA Technical Observer Group. The Argentine made seven appearances in the competition and captained the team to European glory in Bilbao.

To cap off Tottenham's first trophy in 17 years, and their first European trophy since 1984, Romero has been joined in the Europa League's Team of the Season by three team-mates. They are striker Dominic Solanke, right-back Pedro Porro, and goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.

Alongside the Tottenham contingent, Eintracht Frankfurt's Robin Koch and Bodo/Glimt's Fredrik Andre Bjorkan make up the defence, while United duo Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes and Bodo/Glimt's Patrick Berg round off the midfield. Finally, Lyon's Rayan Cherki and Athletic Club's Nico Williams join Solanke in attack.
