Gundogan was not part of the Barcelona squad that beat Valencia 2-1 on Saturday, with manager Flick saying the 33-year-old was "dizzy" and they agreed he would sit out the contest. Amid reports the German international wants to move on from the La Liga team after just one year, Flick has provided an update on the midfielder's future – while not giving too much away.

He said, via Sport: "As you know, he has had some problems and felt a bit dizzy. We agreed that he would stay at home and I have spoken to him to see how he felt, but what we said to each other remains between us. I have the feeling that he will stay."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Gundogan swapped Manchester City for Barcelona last summer after seven years but reports suggest he wants out, amid interest from Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce and the Saudi Pro League. The German has one year left on his contract and if he receives a good offer, Barca are reportedly not going to stand in his way.
