Marcelo Bielsa has handed debuts to a number of Leeds’ young players since becoming manager and Pascal Struijk became the latest inductee into that club against Hull on Tuesday.
Leeds are short on centre-back numbers currently with Liam Cooper being ruled out through injury, and since the Whites were coasting in the closing stages it was a suitable time for Struijk to get a taste of first-team action.
Supporters hope there is more to come and if he makes an impression on Bielsa, either in training or for the U23s, then he can expect to play some part in the rest of the season, as the Argentine is more than willing to provide youngsters with opportunities.
