Ederson linked with Saudi Arabia move Welcomes manager Guardiola's praise Says he hasn't decided on future yet WHAT HAPPENED?
According to The Athletic, the goalkeeper is understood to be keen on a move away from City this summer, but Saudi side Al-Nassr have backed out of a transfer and Al-Ittihad are yet to make a move for him. After manager Pep Guardiola said he would "love" the Brazilian to stay at the Etihad, the 30-year-old has addressed the speculation surrounding his future – without giving much away.

He said after City's 3-2 friendly loss to AC Milan: “There isn’t a decision yet. To hear Pep saying that was very gratifying. It’s now my eighth season with him living many good moments, also some bad ones. He’s a guy who is easy to work with, he’s a football genius and everyone knows that. So it’s really good to hear that from him.
“I’m happy here, having a good moment with my teammates, I’m enjoying as well to get my fitness back on track. I’m very calm, whatever happens is in God’s hands and he knows the right way to go. Whatever he gives me I’ll be happy with.”
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Ederson joined City from Benfica for £35 million ($45m) in 2017, and since then he has made 332 appearances and won six Premier Leagues, two FA Cups, four Carabao Cups, and one Champions League, among other trophies. If he were to leave, the Brazil international would go down as one of the club's great goalkeepers but if he has to play second fiddle to fellow stopper Stefan Ortega, an exit is likely.

Ederson's City side take on Barcelona in their next pre-season friendly on Tuesday, before ending their United States tour against Chelsea on Saturday. They will then take on Manchester United in the Community Shield on August 10 at Wembley. It remains to be seen if Ederson will still be at the club by then.
