Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that he intends to speak to chairman Daniel Levy about next steps moving forward.
Over the last few seasons the Argentine coach has transformed Spurs into genuine contenders for honours.
In the last two campaigns, the club have finished third and second respectively in the Premier League, but on this occasion they have had to settle for a top-four fight due to Manchester City’s dominance at the top.
The club have not won silverware since the 2007-08 season, but they are in contention to win the FA Cup as they are in the semi-finals of the competition, but will have to get past Manchester United first.
On Sunday, Tottenham ended a hoodoo as they earned their first victory at Stamford Bridge since 1990 in a 3-1 win over Chelsea, much to the delight of the supporters.
According to football.london, Pochettino claimed that he needs to sit down with the bigwigs at the club to discuss plans for the future.
“It’s a difficult thing to move forward. We have to talk a lot in the club, with Daniel [Levy], and get all round a table and see what happens. I think after four years together, the club has moved on in everything; not just in football, but about facilities. Next season we’ll have a new stadium and it could be fantastic. I think many things. I’ll share my ideas with the club and see how we can improve.”
