Junior Hoilett has praised his former manager Sam Allardyce ahead of a crucial meeting with his current club, West Ham.
Hoilett worked with Allardyce at Blackburn Rovers but will be eager to scupper the 57-year-old’s plans, as the forward hopes to inspire Queens Park Rangers to a first league win and a surge off the bottom of the Premier League table.
The 22-year-old told Goal.com: “He taught me a lot in my career. I enjoyed playing under him he’s a great manager, but I’m looking forward to getting three points off him on Monday.”
Two points from five games has left the Rs in desperate need of Premier League points, but the Canadian attacker is confident of a quick turn around after a recent improvement in performances.
“When you don’t get that first win everyone is looking for it and talking about it. We are playing well and not getting results but that is what we need.
“We need results now. Once we get results we the win we can start building the belief in the squad,” he added.
