Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is reportedly ready to make a shock swoop for Juventus star Dani Alves this summer, according to reports from Sport.
The former Barcelona full-back has had a terrific first season with the Serie A side after leaving the Nou Camp last summer on a free transfer.
One of the signings of the summer across Europe, Alves has not only replicated the form he showed during his Barcelona but has gone above and beyond, putting in some dazzling displays for Massimiliano Allegri’s side – especially in the Champions League.
Alves, who is valued at £5.1m by transfermarkt.com, was a key figure in the quarter-finals for The Old Lady as they knocked out his former club 3-0 on aggregate, and again was the decisive man against Monaco in the semi-final, scoring once and creating all three of Juve’s other goals in a comprehensive 4-1 victor over two legs.
Such performances have peaked interest from a number of top European clubs, and have no doubt provided Barcelona boss Luis Enrique with a number of sleepless nights, and Chelsea are the alleged front-runners for his signature.
Having just won the Premier League title themselves, and with the efforts of full-backs Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso much revered this season, is their space for the Brazilian international at the Bridge?
