In basketball circles, evergreen LA Lakers superstar LeBron continues to defy sporting and biological logic at 40 years of age – with a fifth NBA championship in his sights. Over in MLB and Japanese sensation Ohtani is working on the most lucrative contract that professional baseball has ever seen, as his remarkable talents are recognised by the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Beats by DreDID YOU KNOW?
Messi, James and Ohtani have now joined forces as part of an epic Beats campaign. The Powerbeats Pro 2 are built for “ultimate athletic performance with powerful, immersive sound and Heart Rate Monitoring for workouts”. They also boast “a redesigned ear hook and significant upgrades to sound, battery life, and call performance.” All in, they are – as pointed out by Oliver Schusser, Apple’s vice president of Music, Sports, and Beats – “the most impressive product in Beats’ history”.
It seems only right that three of the biggest names on the planet would be brought on board to help launch the Powerbeats Pro 2, as they are considered to “push the limits of greatness – driven by one unifying force: their hearts” while symbolising “determination, focus, and the will to overcome challenges”.
